The Traffic Optimizer prescriptive dashboard allows you to quickly identify traffic sources that are both high and low quality. Add this insightful analytical tool to your toolbox by using this information on a routine basis.
The Traffic Optimizer is one of three "Prescriptive" dashboards in the Analytics suite. The purpose of these prescriptive dashboards is to give you actionable recommendations for specific areas of your business.
At first glance, the term "Prescriptive Analytics" can come across as being the latest buzzword but it's actually the next logical progression in the evolution of Analytics. In the diagram below, you can see where prescriptive analytics sits in relation to diagnostic and descriptive analytics. We hope that by seeing prescriptive analytics in this context, it will help you to gain a deeper understanding of how to most efficiently use analytics with your business.
Use the Traffic Optimizer prescriptive dashboard to:
Identify traffic sources with unacceptable “Grades.” The Grade each traffic source earns is ultimately derived by the calculated Quality Score. Quality Score is an estimate of the quality of your traffic sources. Higher quality sources have lower than average Fraud, Refund, Chargeback, Decline, Day 0 Cancel and In-Trial Cancel rates. These six inputs allow the algorithm to accurately estimate traffic source quality.
Make decisions. After viewing the Grades, sort the table however you see fit (i.e., low to high or high to low) and make decisions on each traffic source. The decisions range from cutting the traffic source to putting the traffic source on probation to calling them to congratulate them on improving their value.
