Consumers are looking for the flexibility and peace of mind that comes with the ability to manage their subscriptions on the fly. The sticky.io consumer portal makes it easy for consumers to take the actions that you, as the merchant, configure your portal to allow.

The following article will guide you through the process of configuring the permissions within your consumer portal.

Without further ado, let's begin!

Introduction to Consumer Portal Permissions

Within the sticky.io consumer portal, consumers will be able to take the following actions to manage their subscription(s):

  • Cancel their subscription

  • Force an immediate billing event & shipment (bill now)

  • Pause their subscription

  • Resume their subscription

  • Skip an upcoming subscription rebill

  • Swap products or variants

  • Manage the date of their next rebill event

  • Manage the frequency at which they are billed

  • Manage their shipping address

  • Manage their payment information

  • View their subscription order history

You, as the merchant, will have the capacity to limit these permissions based on your applied preferences. If you choose, you will also be able to enforce account registration before being able to check out with subscription items.

Managing Consumer Permissions Within the Consumer Portal

To begin, we'll start by logging into our Salesforce Commerce Cloud Business Manager and selecting the site of interest.

Next, we will open up the Merchant Tools dropdown. Within the sticky.io section, we will select Preferences.

Locate the consumer portal preferences of interest within the list of adjustable preferences. The available options are pictured below, along with their default values (Yes or No).

To adjust your preferences, simply set the desired value using the dropdown menu for each item. A value of Yes will allow the consumer to take the specified action within the consumer portal. A value of No will prevent all consumers from taking the specified action.
