What is Affiliate Permissions?

Affiliate Permissions allows you to grant user-specific access to the Affiliate Sales report. Here, they will have the ability to track their performance without accessing information about other affiliates or other parts of your business.

In this article, we will walk through the process of setting up new affiliate users, affiliate profiles that connect users with processed transactions and the process by which affiliate users will access the affiliate sales report.

Without further ado, let's begin!

Enabling Affiliate Permissions as an Administrative User

Start by logging into your sticky.io instance. Navigate to Settings > Accounts & Permissions > User Permissions > Insight > Affiliates. There will be two bubbles to the right side of the Affiliates section header. Ensure that the left bubble is checked to enable the Affiliate Permissions feature for your user profile.

Creating an Affiliate User

Once you have enabled Affiliate Permissions for your administrative user account, navigate to Settings > Account & Permissions.

Select the option to Add New User. Fill out the user information as completely as possible. Under Department, select Affiliate.

Users enabled with this status will only have permission to access the Affiliate Sales dashboard. Confirm that access on the next page and save the user.

Creating an Affiliate Profile

Creating an affiliate profile will allow you to connect an affiliate user with their sales using information from transactions processed through sticky.io.

Once the affiliate user has been created, navigate to Insights > Affiliates.

Here, you'll be able to create a new affiliate profile by navigating to Actions > Add New. Enter the affiliate information, including the name of the profile, the type of affiliate and network (Ex/ "AFID" and "Facebook") and the user profiles you would like to have connected to this affiliate profile.

Once this setup is complete, transactions created with a matching Type and Network will be associated with the selected affiliate users and will be visible within their Affiliate Sales Report.

Accessing Reports as an Affiliate User

As an affiliate user, navigate to Insights > Reports > Sales > Affiliate Sales.

This report will allow you to review the following data points for the specific affiliate profiles associated with your user account.

  • Transactions

  • Orders

  • Partial Refunds
