The Subscriptions app allows you to configure automatic retries for failed transactions. It is important to note that these automatic retries will follow the initial automatic rebilling attempt that is carried out by Shopify.

How to configure automatic retries:

Start on the homepage of your storefront and navigate over to the Apps tab.

Within your Installed apps, select Subscriptions by clicking on the app name. This will bring you to the home page of the Subscriptions application.

From here, select Rebill Management.

This will bring you to the Rebill Management admin panel.

From here, you can use the on-screen dropdowns to configure:

  • The number of retry attempts. The minimum number of attempts is one and the maximum is fifteen.

  • The days between rebill attempts. Available options are 1 day, 2 days or 1 week.

  • The action that you would like to take once the subscription reaches the maximum number of failures. Available options include Cancel Subscription, Pause Subscription or Skip Failed Order. Skipping a failed order will skip the current rebill, but keep the subscription chain active.

Once you are satisfied with your selections, click Save.

Congratulations! You're now an expert on configuring automatic retries on failed transactions within Subscriptions.
